DESCRIPTION:Terry and Darlene will be sharing on the FNV Psalms at Calvin University in Grand Rapids Michigan. \nhttps://worship.calvin.edu/events/2026/psalms-150-conference-experience \nEvent Details\n\n\nRegistration opens in the fall for this conference that offers opportunities to learn from guest speakers\, musicians\, and artists and participate in a psalm festival worship service and other times of prayer and reflection. \n\n\n\n\nThis February event replaces the Calvin Symposium on Worship which will take an interlude in 2026. By pausing the Symposium (our largest event!) in 2026\, we can make room for this creative event uniquely timed with our schools’ anniversary and explore ways the Biblical psalms can shape us in public worship and in all areas of the Christian life. \nThis event is part of the year of Dwelling in the Psalms\, sponsored by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. We will also sponsor a few events in other locations and will share details of those events as they develop. Stay tuned! \n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Terry  will be the Plenary speaker at this event and he and his wife Darlene will present a 2.5 hour workshop on the theme of the FNV Psalms and Proverbs. \nWorkshop Title: Creation’s Wisdom: Indigenous Perspectives on Psalms and Proverbs \nDescription: \nThis workshop will explore how the Psalms and Proverbs speak to modern ecological concerns through the lens of Indigenous wisdom and the ancient Biblical text. Grounded in the concept of All My Relations—which affirms the interconnectedness of humans\, land\, water\, and all living things—we will examine how these texts call us to harmony\, balance\, and restorative justice. The workshop also engages the renewal of an Indigenous Biblical worldview\, uncovering overlooked themes that invite deeper commitment to the flourishing of all relationships within the circle of life.
