ANNOUNCING! Psalms and Proverbs FNV

Yes, we have committed to translating Psalms and Proverbs! As of July 1st, the translation is currently in progress with a formal launch in August 2022. A new Psalms and Proverbs Translation Council has been formed and will meet in person on August 15-18 in Chicago. InterVarsity Press is hosting the meeting and has committed to publishing the finished translation. We estimate it will take about 2 years to complete and then go to publishing. You can donate specifically to help us launch this project here.

Your donation will help us gather the translation council at InterVarsity Press in Chicago. We have raised $5000 currently and need to raise an additional $5000 to cover airfare, hotel, and meals for 9 people.

When I donate to Rain Ministries what does my gift support?

Thank you for considering supporting Rain Ministries, the home of the First Nations Version Project, and RainSong Music.

Rain Ministries is a non-profit organization based in Arizona. But we are not just an organization, we are real people working hard to share Creator’s Good Story with others. Terry and Darlene Wildman are the primary directors of Rain Ministries. We have been active in the lives of First Nations people since 1998 and founded Rain Ministries in 2001. We also have a Board of Directors that help by giving us guidance and oversight.

Terry is the lead translator and project manager for the First Nations Version translation of the Bible. An ongoing project that may include portions of the Old Testament. The New Testament is now complete and published by InterVarsity Press as of August 31st, 2021.

Every year as RainSong Terry and Darlene travel sharing our music and storytelling as we tell the good story of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) across Indian Country and sometimes beyond to other nations.

In June of 2020, a door opened for Terry to mentor the next generation of First Nations leaders through Native InterVarsity. Terry is the Director of Spiritual Growth and Leadership Development serving the Native Staff that minister on college campuses across the U.S. Darlene also helps develop interpersonal relationships with the staff. Please note! All our salary support for Terry’s role in InterVarsity will be through Rain Ministries and not through InterVarsity.
